Committee Chair
Alexandra Tomei
Alexandra is a dedicated professional with a passion for child and youth development. With over a decade of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Alexandra has been making a positive impact since 2005.
In 2012, she achieved her board certification as an assistant behavior analyst, demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence. Two years later, in 2014, she further solidified her expertise by becoming a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
Recognizing the importance of research and collaboration, Alexandra completed the LEND program at the University of Washington in 2013. During this time, she focused her research on behavior-based feeding interventions, working alongside other professionals and coordinating care to address feeding deficits. Her dedication to inclusive education led her to pursue a master’s degree in the field, further enhancing her understanding of creating inclusive environments for all learners.
In addition to her work in child and youth development, Alexandra has also contributed significantly to the governance of a local K-12 charter school. Serving as the secretary for four years, she focused on documenting the school’s operations and adhering to governmental standards. Through this experience, she honed her leadership and public policy skills, further complementing her expertise in behavior analysis.
Motivated by her desire to cultivate leadership in others, Alexandra has also dedicated her time to leadership development and advocacy initiatives. She is actively involved in advocacy initiatives within COABA (Colorado Association for Behavior Analysis) and BlueSprig, demonstrating her commitment to creating positive change at a broader level.
Currently, Alexandra serves as the Director of Clinical Standards for BlueSprig. In this role, she collaborates with different departments to establish clinical standards and operating procedures, ensuring that the organization delivers the highest quality clinical services to their clients and families. Furthermore, she coordinates various clinical committees, fostering a supportive environment for staff and promoting ongoing professional development.
