The Professional Development Committee organizes opportunities for behavior analysts to access continuing education opportunities, including the annual conference.
Sarah Lichtenberger is the Assistant Director of Ethics for the Ethics Department at the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®. She earned her Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in the Neurobehavioral Unit Outpatient Clinic. She has 10 years of clinical experience specifically with a focus in early intervention and severe problem behavior.

Alison Betz
Dr. Alison Betz is a Senior Consultant for ABA Technologies’ Corporate Learning Solutions Division. She is Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 15 years of clinical experience and over 10 years of experience in leadership positions, organizational behavior, performance management, and staff training. Originally from Michigan, Dr. Betz earned her Master’s in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and Organizational Behavior Management from Western Michigan University. She then went on to earn her Ph.D. in Disabilities Discipline from Utah State University and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Munroe Meyer Institute. Throughout her career, Dr. Betz has gained invaluable experience across different clinical and organizational settings and positions including academic faculty positions, clinical leadership of ABA therapy programs, and owner of her behavioral consulting company. Dr. Betz is a respected researcher with her interests including behavioral treatment of autism spectrum disorders, assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior and pediatric feeding disorders, performance improvement, and staff training. She has contributed to the dissemination of behavior analysis through her publication of research and national and international presentations and workshops. Furthermore, Dr. Betz has served on the editorial board of several top-tiered behavioral journals including Behavioral Interventions, Education and Treatment of Children, The Analysis of Verbal Behavior, and is currently serving on the board of editors for Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Dr. Betz is also currently an instructor for the Applied Behavior Analysis graduate program at University of Colorado at Denver.
